Vera & her birthday cake

 

 Vera sure loved her first birthday cake!  I didn't have eggs for the cake mix & the icing was sliding everywhere, but this girl did not care.  Once we sang and sat the cake in front of her she didn't know what to do, so her sweet & sugar-loving brother went in for a big scoop and she quickly caught on :)

 I love John Ryman's smile in the picture below... looks so innocent, but you know he is thinking about how to get the cake all to himself...
