Free Spring Cleaning Kit from Grove Collaborative

What motivates you to do a spring cleaning? For me, beautiful cleaning products in a fresh scent make it feel like less of a chore. Add some good music and I might even say I enjoy it!

If you’re like me, then you’re going to love this offer from Mrs. Meyer’s and Grove Collaborative. When you place your first Grove order of $20, you’ll get a free seasonal kit to help you get a jumpstart on your spring cleaning. Here’s what’s included:

  • Free Mrs. Meyer’s Spring Hand Soap
  • Free Mrs. Meyer’s Spring Dish Soap
  • Free Grove Collaborative Walnut Scrubber Sponges
  • Free Grove Collaborative Glass Spray Bottle
  • Free Shipping & 60 Day VIP Trial

If you’re already a customer, you’ll receive a Grove Collaborative Spray Bottle for 50% off - perfect for making your own fresh scented cleaner!

The Mrs. Meyers soaps come in two limited edition spring scents, peony and lilac. Thanks to the blend of essential oils and plant-derived ingredients, they don’t smell artificial — just light and pretty. Along with this beautiful spray bottle and amazing sponges, you’ll be feeling inspired to clean in no time.

To get your kit, sign up for Grove Collaborative here and the offer will be automatically added to your cart. You’ll answer 4 quick questions about your current cleaning routine, which Grove will use to recommend products for your first basket. You can customize your order by adding or remove items, the items in your basket are just suggestions— as long as your order is a minimum of $20, you’ll qualify for the offer.

One of the unexpected benefits of my Grove subscription is that I’ve discovered so many great natural products. The Acure Skincare line is a new favorite, as well as, the Grove Candle! It's nice to try new scents or products knowing there is 100% happiness guarantee. Plus, their customer service is hands-down the best.

Want to know what’s in my basket this month? I’m stocking up on spring cleaning essentials like a new set of Grove Kitchen Towels (for cleaning with my new spray bottle), Acure Rosehip Oil, and my usual order of Acure Facial Cleansing Creme and the Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent. And I'm going to add the Acure Facial Wipes in my bag when I'm traveling this month. Since I started using Grove to deliver my monthly household supplies, I’ve saved so much money compared to my usual grocery store runs going in for one item and coming out with 10 extra! Not to mention, I don't have to juggle 3 kids inside the store. :)

My Grove VIP membership helps me save even more with free shipping, price matching, exclusive sales, and free full-size gifts. When you submit your first Grove order, you’ll be signed up for the free 60 day VIP trial. I highly recommend taking advantage of the free shipping and personal service that comes with this membership so you can see if it’s right for you. I have placed an order and the next day realized I forgot to add detergent- nice to have free shipping!

Ready to get started on your spring cleaning and streamline your household shopping routine? This offer ends March 19, and supplies are limited. (Last time I had an offer on my blog like this, one of the scents ran out so pick what you like quickly!)

  1. Sign up for Grove Collaborative {here}. You will receive the {Spring Cleaning Kit} for free when you sign up!
  2. Answer 4 quick questions about your home that Grove Collaborative will then use to customize your first basket -- this takes under 30 seconds!
  3. Once you’ve answered the questions, you can finalize your basket of products to suit your household needs by adding or removing items.
  4. To receive this offer, your order needs to be a minimum of $20. Choose the combination of products and scents you love and receive in your first box.
  5. You made it! Click Finish & Pay and place your order.

Grove Collaborative

So for the past several months we have been trying out a new company called Grove.
I used to buy my cleaning supplies and home products from mainly Target and Honest Company and then I would of course forget something and pick up extras at the grocery.  Knowing that our shopping cart was about to get a lot fuller (baby-wearing is really the only option- how else do y'all fit 3 kids and anything else in a cart at one time?!) I started looking into the most cost effective, time saving & practical options for our family.  Thanks to The Nester sharing a coupon code, I thought I would try one order and then cancel once I received my $10 off, but I ended up loving the new products, customer service & free gifts on my doorstep!  It's been several months now and I don't buy cleaning or laundry supplies any other way!
I still get our shampoo & some toiletries from Honest because it works best for our sensitive skin & I can bundle for a good price our favorite shave oil & healing balm (Have you smelled their new shampoo scent- Apricot Kiss?! Delish!)  Every other household product from Grove gets shipped for free to our door whenever I want!  You can do recurring shipments if you prefer if you know how long certain products last for your family (they offer text reminders that I found very helpful) but I usually just do a few orders a month in no particular rhythm when I notice we are running low on something.  The free shipping makes that super helpful because with Honest I felt like I would do a monthly order and forget one item and have to make a trip to the store again- defeating the purpose of home delivery!
I have found that I spend less money on household items since I started using Grove! For example, Mrs. Meyer's cleaners may only be 25 cents cheaper on Grove than Target, but we all know we pick up extra stuff that is not on our list when we run into an actual store!!  Extra cart space when at the grocery & no Target dollar bin additions that aren't really a dollar make it totally worth it for me. They also give free items & credit for friends that sign up- I've received a glass bottle, large hand sanitizer, chapstick and lots of $ credit just in the last two months!

If you want to try it out and get $10 off this month plus a free gift of your own... {CLICK HERE}

My top favorites:
Mrs. Meyer's Basil Dish Soap
Grove Candle in Eucalyptus & Spearmint
Grove Kitchen Towels- the best!
Acure Facial Scrub

A few ideas...
-If you use essential oils, I love their glass spray bottle mixed with Thieves (or any oil!) to clean the kitchen.
-I just ordered a set of my favorites for a wedding shower (you could do baby shower items too!)  and I got $10 off and free shipping.  Wrap it all up or put them in a cute basket and its the perfect gift!
-When their candles are on sale, add an extra to your order because they are the perfect gift to have on hand when you need something last minute. And they smell amazing!
-Follow The Nester on Instagram because sometimes she will post free gifts for an existing Grove member or a new scent she recommends!

October "Give" Family- The Blandfords

I'm so excited to share with you all the family behind this month's Give scarf. For the entire month of October, all of the profit from the black & white polka dot scarf will be sent straight to the Blandford family to help with their adoption funds.  I've asked Jennifer to share a little more of their adoption story with us...

________________________________________________________________________________________
We've always known that we were going to adopt.  It was a call God gave me on a mission trip when I was 15 and at the time people thought I was crazy!  As most God-given dreams go, our journey hasn't gone the way we initially imagined.  We were blessed with 2 biological kids before we started our adoption journey.  Currently, we are in our home study and hope to have that completed by January.
The beauty in God writing our story is that he has totally changed our hearts in the process.  We were actually in the beginning stages of an international adoption, when we found out that I was pregnant with our daughter.  We wanted an international adoption because it would be a closed adoption.  Over the last 5 years God has radically changed our hearts and we are now working toward a domestic open adoption.  While we know that this isn't the choice for everyone, we are thankful for this call for us.

The hardest part of our journey at this point is all the unknowns that await us.  When I was pregnant, we knew that in 9 months we would have a baby in our arms.  There is so much uncertainty about the road ahead.  It can feel overwhelming!

The greatest joy has been how loved and supported we have felt on our journey.  There has been such an outpouring of support by our friends and family.  We are overwhelmed by the way that God is using so many people to bless our family!

God is teaching us so much on this journey!  Patience has been and will continue to be huge for us.  God's timing doesn't always align with our timing and we aren't usually ok with waiting.  We've also learned that it's good to ask for help.  We have reached out to so many people for fundraising opportunities and we have been blown away by peoples' response!  We have continually been met with grace and provision.  We have been repeatedly reminded that God is a faithful provider.

If you would like to hear more from Jennifer and her family, you can read updates on their blog {BEBmakesThree}
100% of the profit from the give scarf will go directly to help fund the Blandford's adoption journey.

Faithful Families Giveaway Winners!

And the winners are...

Sarah Price: Raising Your Kids to Love the Lord
Amanda: Building Family Ties with Faith, Love and Laughter

Congratulations Sarah & Amanda!  Email me your addresses and I will ship the books to you all.  (savgarcia18 [at] gmail [dot] com)  I hope that these books will be a blessing to you both.

I love what Amanda commented: "I believe that 'The key to raising a faithful family' is for parents to first have a strong relationship with Christ. Then they can walk alongside their children and share their faith with them. We need to be serious about wanting to make sure we pass our faith to our kids. We must live out the way God calls us to live as parents, friends etc.. in front of our children and others, every day. As parents, we also need to make sure that we have a good relationship with our kids and make them (family) a priority. We have no excuse not too."

Faithful Families Giveaway!

Happy Monday Friends.  Thought I would start out this week with an awesome GIVEAWAY!!

My dad (Dave Stone) just released a Faithful Families book series offering parents creative ideas, real life stories and scriptural guidance for building families that love God and enjoy being together.

I count it a blessing to have been raised by such godly parents and to have learned from their example, but it is even sweeter to now have their wisdom and stories written down so that I can read from my new perspective as a parent.  Some stories I remember from years ago, but now I see them differently, realizing just how intentional my parents were about bringing scripture into our home and living out their faith.  Now our family is not perfect, but we strive to love Christ more daily AND have a lot of fun together along the way!  I really think you will be blessed by these two books.  If you don't win, I encourage you to pick one up {here} & be on the lookout for book #3 this spring!

This week there will be 2 winners!  Winner 1 will receive:
Raising Your Kids to Love the Lord.  Winner 2 will receive: Building Family Ties with Faith, Love & Laughter.

See winners {here}!!!

There are lots of ways to enter!  If you don't have a blogger account, you can comment as "anonymous" just be sure to leave your email so I can contact you if you win.
Winners will be announced on September 27th.

1: Visit Dave Stone's website {here} and then come back and leave a comment below answering the following question: What do you think is one of the keys to raising a Faithful Family?

5: I know some of you have already read the book & want to win so you can give it to a friend!  If you have read it, email me and let me know what you thought.  How are you bringing the joy of Christ into your home?  What ideas have you taken from the books and started with your family?  I'll add an extra entry for each person who emails :)  Contact me {here}

“Christian homes don’t just happen; neither do kids who love the Lord,” says author Dave Stone. “In this book, you’ll learn that when godly living is your priority, it becomes more natural for your children to embrace faith—real faith.”

You can read the first chapter of each book for FREE if you go {here} and download them :)

Profaite Medeus

Profiate Medeus is a minister in Haiti.
He had the opportunity to study at CCU and learn more
about Preaching and the Bible so he could be better equipped
to return to his home and family in Haiti and spread the Gospel.
We met him a couple years ago and Profaite and Patrick
became good friends.  He returned to Haiti over a year
ago, ready to share Jesus with the lost in Haiti.
Patrick has been in contact with him over the past two weeks
and Profaite emailed these pictures recently...

I was amazed by these pictures
building crumbled, homes destroyed
this next picture is of their church:
There were some cracks in the concrete and
they were being careful to make sure the roof was stable
but overall I think it looks pretty good compared to the rest
There have been 3 deaths confirmed in their congregation but I imagine
it will be awhile until they know for sure how many they have lost.
This is part of what he said in the last email:
"First, please keep  praying for us. Secondly, Since many people, including our church members are in big needs, anything that can come down to Haiti, especially money, can help."
This past Sunday Profaite preached to a large crowd
that gathered in the yard outside of the church.
I wish I could have been sitting on that white blanket
next to that little boy, front row, hearing Profaite share a
message of true hope to a desperate and hurting crowd.
I'm sure most of you have already donated
(maybe even some of you crafty ones to CraftHope on Etsy)
but here is some information if you are interested:
G.O. Ministries- donate $ on their website {here}
and select Haiti Relief Fund in the program box
100% of the money will go directly to Haiti relief
If you are in Louisville, {here} is the link where you can find
the list of urgent needs and location to drop items off
or {here} on Southeast Christian's website

We are waiting to hear back from Profaite Medeus
about an address in Haiti and what exactly would
be the best items for his church to receive.
If you are interested in donating directly to Profaite and his church,
let me know and I can try to get you his information when he sends it.
I'm sure you all feel the same way, but I feel like I can't do enough
for these people in Haiti.  I want to get on the next plane
embrace every orphan, offer clean water,
and fill every aching stomach with a warm meal
but unfortunately that is not possible.
I have needed to remind myself of the amazing power of prayer
prayer for those who need food, those who need rescue,
those who need strength to continue helping others,
those who need a family, a friend
and while all of those people need our prayers
all that really matters are those people who need the ultimate Savior.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer

2 Thessalonians 3:1
Finally brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord
may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it is with you.

Psalm 33:20-22
We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.
