a sneak peek

My sweet in-laws are coming in town for the weekend to spend some time with us and hear Patrick kick off the Easter series.  We are so glad we have the keys and will be able to show them our new home, but we plan on waiting until they leave to start the move over.  Thankfully, we have until the end of the month to leave our apartment, but I'm already itching to move in now!  Needless to say, the furs are already happy to have a yard :)

Our First Home!

After lots of prayer, saving, home searching, and signing... we are officially Homeowners!
I have been dying to share all the cute homes we have looked at and all the design ideas running through my mind, but I didn't want to get too excited if it didn't work out or if the move-in date was pushed back.  So now we have the keys and are overjoyed!  While the house has recently been renovated, there are still little things we want to do to make this house our home... so hopefully there will be some fun new posts around here!!  Any home tips or website recommendations?  I know I will constantly be referring to Young House Love and their wonderful section on home projects.  Any other ideas?

Dealey Plaza and JFK Memorial

Every person that comes to visit wants to go downtown to see Dealey Plaza and the JFK memorial.  Even though we have been many times {here with garcias} and {here with my brother} I learn something new every time.  This particular time, Robert Groden was at Dealey Plaza signing books.  He has written extensively on the conspiracy theories and was a consultant for the JFK film in 1991.
