dream afternoon

springtime in Cincinnati

birthday celebrations

I had an early birthday celebration with my family and my mom fixed a wonderful meal! Yes, I requested chicken poppyseed- which many of you have now tried :) - and she even made a homemade cheesecake with cookie dough inside... delicious.  Then on my birthday, Patrick treated me to the Fresh Market where I picked out a tasty Reese's cupcake and walked up and down the aisles in grocery heaven... then we spent the evening at P.F. Changs with great friends laughing until the restaurant closed.  On Saturday, we drove up to my Nana and Dado's for a birthday lunch with them and my sweet cousin Jen (the bride to be!!!) followed by the Monroe outlets :)   I am so thankful for wonderful friends and family who helped me celebrate my 21st!

pastel painted sweets

This is a cute little article I stumbled across on Sparknotes.com

I do not know why I was looking at Spark Notes because I never procrastinate and always read every single page of required class readings??  ;)

Anyways... enjoy. and be prepared to have in instant candy craving and desire to bolt to the grocery and scarf down the treats in the Easter candy aisles.

{here} is the link to the actual website

Easter Candy Is Better Than Halloween Candy

We’re sick of fighting about this. Some people believe that Halloween candy is superior to Easter candy in taste, theme, and variety. Those people are wrong. Why? We’re so glad you asked.
1. Easter candy is bigger. If you go trick-or-treating, the best you can hope for is a fun-sized candy bar. Sure, there might be a wealthy house in your neighborhood that hands out full-sized candy bars, but those houses are owned by cult members (probably). Easter candy, particularly chocolate rabbits, is so large that it’s impossible to eat in a single sitting. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’ll get more Halloween candy than you will Easter candy, so in the end it evens out. But it’s still more fun to bite into something larger than your forearm than it is to nibble on something smaller than your capitate bone.

 Today is my 21st Birthday!!!
The celebrations have already started...
beautiful sunrise, sweet note taped to the mirror this morning,
tasty caramel frap, freshly furminated pups, love spell perfume,
classes canceled all day because my prof is in Ireland, spring weather
and Patrick got me the nicest black patterned purse.  I was quite impressed.
He said he had no idea what to get me, but went to TJMaxx and Home Goods
:) he knows me well... and just walked through the aisles looking for
something I might like.  how sweet! I wish I could have spied on his
shopping experience.  looking through home decor, perusing the purse racks
precious
He said he almost picked a brown purse but thought I already had
plenty of brown ones and not a black one, which is so true and observant.
It's going to be a wonderful birthday.

Hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy the sunshine!

Last Spring Break Ever!

and there was no better way to spend our last spring break as students than in Nashville and at the LAKE!  Stephanie and I braved another visit to the lakehouse with the wild guys. (Stephanie and I didn't get ONE picture together!!! and she had to leave before the day at the island where Millions of pics were taken. Steph and Sav photoshoot next trip!) Anyways the weather was gorgeous, the food was tasty, and the fellowship was wonderful.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...
