Easter 2013

Did you know that the Easter Bunny sometimes comes early to a preacher's home? Well, we just didn't want to wake up as early as daddy Sunday morning & I knew JR would want some of his goodies for the park after church on Easter.  So... the Easter bunny stopped by Saturday night after a special Easter meal with dear friends :)

He found the package of lizards first and didn't really notice anything else haha!  John Ryman loves to play outside, so he got some spoons and containers for dirt & pebbles, lizards & bubbles!  He also got a "woof woof" book and some peeps (to share with mommy!).
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday celebrating the Resurrection & the hope we have in Christ!  Patrick preached at our Roanoke campus and it is always so powerful to worship and be reminded of how our lives are forever changed because He is ALIVE!
After church we had a delicious brunch {FnG Eats} on their patio in Keller.  And of course we had to take advantage of the gorgeous 80 degree weather with a trip to the Keller park!  The furs were extra happy to tag along!

And this little man sure loves anywhere he can run FREE!

(Thanks to Mimi for his cute Easter outfit... and his little Robeez were a consignment find on Saturday- perfect!)

Too bad we didn't get a family pic!  Patrick was eager to change out of his suit and get ready for the CARDS!

Sweet boy with his first skinned knee... many more to come!  It didn't stop him, just hopped back up and kept running... and he is a FAST runner!
Happy Easter!

Inn Above Onion Creek & Wimberley, TX

(porch outside our room with a gorgeous view)

 (our room)
We spent one day in the nearby town, Wimberley.  There were some adorable shops, delicious pizza & a cute coffee shop.

My handsome hubby of almost 5 years!  So thankful for him...

Scenes from The Inn Above Onion Creek

Patrick and I had the most wonderful getaway last week.  We had a lot to celebrate and only one location in mind- our favorite bed and breakfast!  We first visited the Inn Above Onion Creek a year and a half ago for our babymoon with John Ryman {post here} and have been dreaming of the delicious food and relaxing atmosphere ever since.  This time we spent 3 days celebrating baby girl on the way, my 24th birthday and our 5 year anniversary!  Our anniversary isn't until this summer, but we will be a little busy, so why not celebrate early?!  Here are some pictures of the gorgeous scenery:

few pictures from our Louisville trip

Hello there... sorry it's been awhile!  We have been busy busy & doing a little traveling, maybe one day I'll get caught up on here.  We spent some time in Louisville 2 weeks ago and I only brought my camera with me to visit my dad at church.  It was a wonderful (& cold!) trip- wish I had taken more pictures of JR and the cousins because he sure had fun with them.  Anyways, here are the few I took:

 Some happy CARDS fans :)
My mom thought it was so funny that John Ryman went for the Coca-Cola over Pepsi- one proud Nana B.

JR's first time visiting Papa D. at work.  I think he found every ball and fragile item in the entire office!

Howdy from John Ryman

I've been sewing a little this week (baby girl's first dress!!) and found a simple pattern for a bib kerchief.  Perfect for goldfish crumbs or drool when he isn't wearing a real bib & it's super cute!  I also made some girl ones :)  Definitely need to make one for every day of the week!  You can use any soft fabric cut into the shape of a triangle (make sure the ends are long so you can tie them).  Then I just turned under the edges about 1/4 in and sewed a single line on each side.  SO easy! And I think he likes it:
