CHB Lesson #2

October 8, 1954

"When we have a haughty spirit...

It is not easy:
1. to apologize

2. to begin over
3. to be unselfish
4. to take advice
5. to admit error
6. to face a sneer
7. to be charitable
8. to keep on trying
9. to be considerate
10. to avoid making mistakes

11. to endure success
12. to profit by mistakes
13. to forgive and forget
14. to think and then act
15. to keep out of rut
16. to make the best of little

17. to subdue an unruly temper
18. to maintain a high standard
19. to shoulder deserved blame
20. to recognize the silver lining"

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
Dear Jesus, please expose the areas of pride in my life.
I want you to find my heart humble and giving praise to your name.
