overjoyed & thankful

Today was our first day back to school!!

I have never been so happy to wake up early on a Monday,
pack my backpack, make lunch and sit in class all day long...

As most of you know, Patrick and I took off classes last semester
for Patrick's chemo, radiation and recovery in Louisville.
It may seem simple- the first day back to school...
but for us, it is a day to rejoice and be thankful!

We did not know last December when we signed up for Spring Semester
that we would face some tough news and have to cancel our classes.
We did not know in January whether we would ever
attend classes at CCU together ever again.
We do not know today what tomorrow holds,
but we do know who holds us in the palm of His Hand.
Thank you Lord for your healing power
and for the simple days we used to take for granted.
